Music Notes:

"Love one another". The virtue of Love or Charity is an act of the will whereby we choose the good of another. It is difficult to reconcile Charity with creating a distraction by chatter, versus maintaining silence to help a fellow parishioner to pray.

During the Penitential Season of Lent, various Church documents call for changes of our external and internal dispositions, in order to make more room for God. The "fasting" from solo organ works is one such rubric. It provides a more noticeable silence before and after Mass.

Please maintain the Silence inside the church both Before and After every Mass. All are reminded to continue to use the silence to prepare for the Sacred Mysteries, and to give proper thanks at the end, without creating a distraction for others by talking inside the church. The noise has become increasingly noticeable.

The Communion Antiphon (Graduale Romanum Chant Proper): Qui mihi ministrat, me sequatur; et ubi ego sum, illic et minister meus erit (If a man would serve me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too).
