Music Notes:

Scripture texts for this Liturgical Year are found in the Hymnals under the headings "Sunday B" and "Weekday 1".

Christmas Carols will be sung during Masses throughout the Christmas Season (continues through Sun Jan 11 Baptism of the Lord).

The Communion Antiphon (Graduale Romanum Chant Proper): Fili, quid fecisti nobis sic? ego et pater tuus dolentes quaerebamus te. Et quid est quod me quaerebatis? Nesciebatis quia hi his quae Patris mei sunt, oportet me esse? (My son, why have you treated us so? Your father and I have been anxiously looking for you. How is it that you were seeking me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business?).

Thank you to our parishioners and guests who have supported the liturgical and concert music during the past year through donations and attendance.

Thank you to all who led the music from Easter through Christmas: Director (Ondine Young), Sopranos (Mary Bulkley, Virginia Cooke, Gina DeLucchi, Betty DeOrian [cantor], Mary Peters), Altos (Norma Hernandez, Susan Hernandez [cantor], Roddy Raikow, Sarah Roske, Shirley Siljeg, Allison Villarante), Tenors (Jordan Fong, Chang Hyun "Robin" Lee [cantor], Matthew McGuire, Michael Torres), Basses (Richard Mix [cantor], William Skeen), School Choir (Rebecca Monson).

We invite both men and women to join the choir(s). Attention men! We have a strong tenor and bass to lead you. NOW is the time to join to build your confidence and skill. Weekly rehearsals are in the church: Thursday at 7 pm, Sunday at 10 am.
