This weekend (Sunday after First Friday) at 11 am our Mass Ordinary is Missa VIII (de angelis) chant.
The Communion Antiphon (Graduale Romanum Chant Proper): Panem de caelo dedisti nobis, Domine, habentem omne delectamentum, et omnem saporem suavitatis (You gave us bread from heaven, O Lord, having in it all that is delicious, and the sweetness of every taste).
The L’eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeleine (Paris) was consecrated in 1842 and the organ finished in 1846. Louis James Alfred Lefebure-Wely (1817-1869) was organist 1847-57; Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921) was organist 1857-77; Fernand de la Tombelle (1854-1928) was assistant organist 1885-98 for Theodore Dubois (1837-1924).
